Nowadays cardboard is a very populair material for designing furniture. In the seventies, its use was still very experimental. Frank Gehry was fond of using strange materials. With his furniture-series Easy Edges, he gave a whole new dimention to cardboard. The furniture looks simple but it's obvious that the're made with the care of an architect. The complete collection Easy Edges exists out of 17 pieces of furniture.
The Wiggle Side Chair exists out of 60 layers cardboard, invisibly strengthened by screws.
Meanwhile the furniture is available with a coulered side and there is a matching dinnertable. The chairs used to be produced by Jack Brogan or Chiru, nowadays the're produced by Vitra.
