Q Drum

A rollable water container, developed especially for use in developing countries, in particular in Africa. The container holds up to fifty liters of water and is rolled behind the water collector. The responsibility for collecting water lies mainly with women en children, who need to travel to a well or spring far away from where they live. Due to this invention, there is much less pressure on back and neck than when the water is carried on the head.
At the moment, the Q Drum is used in Kenya, Namibia, Ethiopia, Ruanda, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, South America and Angola.
