Iso Grifo (Matchbox)
by Giorgio GiugiaroLabel: Matchbox
Year: 1968
There is little chance you will ever see an Iso Grifo in real life, because only 412 were actually manufactured at the time. Fortunately, Matchbox has produced a miniature version. In the 1960s, the Iso Grifo belonged to the top of the range in global car design. In terms of speed and in terms of price. In 1968, the Iso Grifo cost more than the average house. The car was designed by Giorgio Giugiaro. Two different versions of the Grifo were designed. A race-car for driving on a circuit and one for use on the open road. A miniature version was made by Matchbox in 1969. In mint condition and with the original packaging, these can easily fetch 40 euros on the internet.
