Scandia Swivel Lounge Chair

Design from Sweden and Finland is far better known then design from Norway. Nevertheless this Scandinavian country brought some beautiful designs with it. For example the Scandia-series from the Norwegian designer Hans Brattrud.

The gracefully bended lines in the seating still speak to the imagination. De Scandia-series exists out of a stackable dinnerroom chair, a lounge chair and a armchair on a swivel base: The senior easy chair. Until the seventies, the chairs were produced in a factury of the Danish company Fjord Fiesta when the factury was destroyed in a fire. After this change, Fjord Fiesta worked fanatically together with Brattrud, to anew this collection on the market. Ultimately they succeeded whereby the chairs are still available right now. Although not available any more in pallisanderwood, because its use is illigal nowadays. Recently the chairs are supplied in a variation of colours. The newest branch out of the collection is the Scandia Nett Swivel Chair, a low, comfortable lounge chair with a swivel base.
